Not bad, but the amd is a poor choice, I have been an AMD fan for a long time and was very sceptical about moving back to intel, i do like to support the under dog, but intel have left AMD for dust. When overclocked the gap gets bigger. Air cooled I can go from 3.0 to 4.6. I dare not stress test it though. I can’t decide what to do about next graphics cards, my current 8800 gts still plays everything other than crysis at max detail, so the new ones, are no doubt faster, but just not worth it yet. If I brought a new large monitor I could then justify it to myself.

The AMD chip was the logical upgrade at the time. I had an Athlon 3200+ 939 chip. I placed a board in my motherboard that allowed me to use AM2 chips (asrockdualsata2) so i bought the Athlon X2 then. i havent upgraded as tbh i havent needed the power until recently and now im just waiting on hte new nehalem parts to come through. Then i’ll be getting some serious performance XD
