Couple new bits done on case

I got round to doing some more bits on the case.

I cut a hole in the rear side panel, using my dremel, to allow the 80 mm fan to intake cool air.

I had to do this because i used the original rear side panel to do my window mod, and the panel i was left with didnt give the 80mm any fresh air, with no holes in sight.

I added some rubber edging and some ACRyan mesh that i had left from my side panel, i attached this using a glue gun, as i didnt want to bolt this down.

Its not the cleanest of holes, but it will do, no one looks at this side of the case, so its all good !

I also painted the rear side panel black, so the grey colour didnt show when looking into the case (the spot next to the motherboard tray)
Please excuse the wires, still a bit more managing to do.

The last thing i did was to add some rubber edging on the rear exhaust fan, and then i added some more ACRyan mesh to stop things hitting the fan.

However, the fan makes a horrid noise now, because its pulling air in against the mesh, its not even a high powered fan. So i think i might go back to a normal 120 mm fan grill that doesnt give this noise :(

And here is a picture of the front of my case for kicks.

Ive also just grabbed a BFG 8800GT 512 from a guy in the US for 110, so that will be a nice upgrade when it comes.

Only a few more things to do

1. Sleeve sata cables black, or buy black sata cables
2. Sleeve the front panel connectors black
3. Sleeve the 24 pin ATX connector, still unsure on this
4. Im also unsure on wether or no to remove the LED’s form the OCZ cooler (your thoughts?)

Thanks for viewing

I really like the lighting of you’re case

Howdy, I’d say keep the LED’s.
I can’t quite figure out what the 80mm fan in the ‘rear side panel’ is cooling.
Could you fill me in please.
Also, I did the pencil mod myself last night.
Worked a treat.

The fan cools the back of the motherboard, where the cpu is, i also cut out the grill there for improved cooling, belive it or not, when i was on air, this thing dropped my cpu temps by 4 C, it does help cooling ! I think its a great design by coolermaster
Congratz on the pencil mod
Thanks for the comments
