So everyone who knows me knows i have a dream, something i’ve wanted to do since i was a kid. I’ve always wanted to open my own gaming store. I know its an odd one isnt it. i always imagined having like 15 high spec pc’s conected to a high speed network, all conected to the net. Maybe even a seperate room for console gaming with xbox’s and ps2’s (yes it was a really old idea). That idea has just been resparked thanks to elemental dragon, aslo known as Bex! so this one goes out to you bex i acctually owe you one. So everyone on here makes there own Pc’s or thinks about it but doesnt get arround to it, i want to make a buisness. So when i get home tonight from this dead end job (seriously, trainiee IT techie with no training prospects >.<) im going to go and design some awsome floor plans and cheep pc builds to go into it, maybe even start  a website design. If anyone has any ideas about this or even wants to help out let me know somehow, i use exactly the same user name to post on the fourms, you can get my msn from there. but seriously thanks again bex, i owe you a drink.

Time to get back to work then >.< or… i could play solitare… *strokes beard*

So the time has come, AoC came out, and…. my pc hated it. yes i was running at a whole 8fps… so after a short trip to ebuyer, and a whole days wait afterwards im left with my branfd new set up, wana see??
ok so dont laugh but the only thing i havent upgraded yet was the graphix… (yes im still running an 8600GT)
Heres the long list of stuff that got bought.

ASUS P5K premium (i wouldnt sugest it unless you know what your doing, i had nothing but problems with the sound drivers)

Q6600 (thanks to the new cooler is running at a cool 3GHz)

Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (keeping the OC’d Q6600 at i nice 40 degrees C)

580w PSU (i cant remember the name or the make, but its black, and does the job ^_^)

Last but not least there was the ram, DDR2 4GB (2x 2GB sticks)
All in all my shopping list came to around 250 quid, bargin!
now im running AoC at around 18 FPS -_-
was it really worth it? well… yes… theres still alot more i can do with it, trust me, big ideas follow, water cooling, case modding, 2×8800GTS running in duel Sli and finaly getting around to setting up my raid drivers.
this year will be exciting, and is now dubbed “the year of gaming”

but it doesnt stop there, gamers everywhere know of the sacred holiday of “winterimas” well…. im preparing myself for it. More will come when i deam it worthy, but all you need to know is, it involves things like, LAN, layer 3 switches, and brand new server build…. oh wait, i’ve said to much!

the first of many

So im sitting here at work, bored out of my mind, very much ready to throw my computer out of the window thanks to 5 failed attempts to try and log into CPC >.< the problem is, I am a trainee IT techie in a school, a school that has 3 “upto 3 meg” internet conections spread out through about 500+ pc’s…. great huh!
So im sitting here Alt + Tabbing every time my boss walks past, so i dont get caught, and thanks to the fact that im running two pc’s on a video splitter (the most stoneage device ever, seriously its about as technical as a paperclip) i can get away with just switching it and pleading ignorance.
So on to the whole reasson as to why i started this blog, now im not going to lie i have i mid spec pc right now, 8600GT, Q6600, stock MoBo (i know the MoBo is the next to be upgraded, then the lowley graphix) 2gb ram, and a 320w psu. now i only really started using my pc when i discovered the sin that is WoW, thats when i decided that my prossesor and graphix needed the upgrade, but i had little to no money, and i knew next to nothing about the insides of my pc. A year down the line i realised that the stock pro wasnt going to cut it so i invested in my first major upgrade, the Q6600 (i dont count the 8600GT as something major, lets face it that card sucks).
now, im 19, i have a job paying me around a grand a month, the pc is on its way up, or itwill be, and i have managed to shrug of the major sin that is WoW in favour for a more FPS and RTS style of gaming. i really really need the upgrades now.
i really dont have much to say tbh, im just going on, maybe my next blog will be slightly more productive and it might even involve pictures *yay*
Right im going to go and plot my brand new blog…
