After a long wait my 8800GT is finally in!! This is my first online debut with the card and I have just finished FSX testing. It beats my X1300 PRO on max settings compared to my old X1300 PRO’s medium settings which is great! I have it in my Dell E520. It appears to be running well, it’s loud but my PC is hardly an ice cube of cooling power. I used a 4pin Molex to 6pin PCI-E connector and my PC has a 305W PSU yes a 305W PSU which is incredible really. Wow! Screenshots coming soon, any questions about how this was achieved comment!

Warning: Anyone who installs ZoneAlarm will need their fingers on Uninstall A.S.A.P or else! My AVG will not work and I have a hunch it’s because of the stupid ideas that ZoneAlarm presented my brain with.

4 hours work! This is a message for anyone who installs ZoneAlarm on Vista, make sure you allow access to Windows Modules Installer BEFORE you attempt to update your Computer. I tried every fix known to man but nothing worked apart from deleting SoftwareDistribution in C:/Windows and then restarting the Update Service and then.. ZoneAlarm informed me to allow access. To which I said yes.

I downloaded .bat registry fixes, .dll fixes everything but ZoneAlarm it was. Perhaps a note ZoneAlarm makers maybe auto allow Windows Update and Modules Installers next time

O and a link to my new card coming tomorrow;
