It won’t be long before every Processor, Motherboard Chipset and Graphics Cards go out of date. Intel have released the X38/48 and are ready for production. I can’t wait to see them out but it is hard to keep it with everything new; thats a good thing though as at least everything is moving on.
Depends what you mean by out of date. If you mean you won’t be getting the top marks in the CPC benchmarks with a CPU a year old then that’s true but I think it’s important to stay in touch with reality and not in the virtual world of benchmarking.
Even cpu’s several years old like AMD’s skt 939 processors are still capable of complementing the latest graphics cards and doing everything a Core2 Quad can do (except run 4 independant threads!).
I agree. I don’t like having to keep reading more and more as things get more and more, I have to change everything in my mind.
