My PC

Well, hello again! This post is about my current Dell E520.

My core specs:

-Intel Pentium D 915 2.8GHz 800Mhz FSB

-1GB RAM 666Mhz

-ATi X1300 PRO PCI-E card

-160GB Hard Drive NOW 250GB due to HD Failure

-19in TFT 1280×1024

Decent Spec at the time; 6 months ago. But it is starting to fade. I was such a n00b then and I didn’t opt for the E6300 because it had a lower GHz speed than the Pentium D. However, it runs fine and does work and I have Ubuntu Linux and Vista installed; (Linux is on another partition)

I have had only two problems with the PC, the Hard Drive failed after 2 failed Vista upgrade attempts using Dell’s CD ROM and the RAM is not what I asked for; it is 666Mhz on the site it said 533Mhz so it works in my favour, until you ask online support to verify and you get 20 different answers from yes and no to I do not know.

Dell replaced the Hard Drive in less than a day! That was great and Vista upgrade worked first time, which made the day better. But my RAM still causes me a few BSODs Blue Screens Of Death every now and again but it seems okay at the moment.

Dell is a great company and everyone should have a Dell PC, as a backup PC in case you incinerate your other PC with overclocking.

I am going to build a PC! Well not right now but when I do I will do a Project Mod Blog and give the link.

I am writing this from Ubuntu Linux on my Dell PC, good bye! Check Back Soon.
