Well its been a while…  Sorry for the delay but I’ve been having camera/lazyness issues!

Getting all the hardware installed was ridiculously easy given the huge amount of space available in the case. Check out the following pics and you’ll see for yourself (click for full size).

 Final system spec :-

  • Intel Q9450 2.66GHz @ 3.2GHz
  • Asus Maximus Extreme
  • 2Gb OCZ DDR3 Platinum 1600MHz
  • XFX 7800GTX
  • 3 x 500Gb &  2 x 250Gb HDD’s
  • 18x Dual Layer DVD Burner
  • Zalman 6x fan controller
  • Thermaltake 700W Toughpower PSU
  • Water cooling kit as spec’d in first post
  • Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition

Menacing!

Lid removed…

Side view

PIC_0016

Dual loops: one for CPU, the other for northbridge and gfx

PIC_0019

Rather naked looking gfx card! I’m still not used to seeing it without the massive heatsink attached.

PIC_0026

Hard drive/lower compartment access hatch (same on other side).

PIC_0034

Behind the front panel, power/reset buttons and front USB visible.

PIC_0024

Case put on my desk to get an idea of its size next to my 19″ TFT which it dwarfs. Come to think of it it rather dwarfs the actual desk too.

PIC_0037

Rear view (need to get hold of some blanking plates for the rest of those motherbaord slots really)

PIC_0039

Pretty tubes

PIC_0028

Hard drive access hatch & mounting bracket

PIC_0041

And the other side…

PIC_0042

Looking in through the hatch. PSU & DVD drive mounting visible. Can also see the hard drives mounted on the far side for a good idea of how open and airy the lower compartment actually is.

Well thats that! All thats left for me to say is another huge thankyou to my dad without whom none of this would’ve been possible.

So what’d you guys think? Not bad for my first modding project i reckons…

looks great man looks like there`s plenty of room in there. maybe if your looking for omething to do now (us modders usually are) keeping it in the theme maybe a full smooth over with body filler.

love they cable managment and how you sectioned every thing into its own areas
