Pc modding is something I’ve been doing for a long time now, and I have tried my hand at very “Full on” mods involving re-shaping and building my own cases from scratch. However, personally I think the best modification you can do is the simple combination of a good basic case and lots of components.
So I will start with a simple base:

I chose this as my base mainly because of the massive, sweet looking fan on the front. Sadly I could only get it in silver, and I would much prefer black. Stage one of my mod begins…

I remember seeing a case with the same front fan in maplins a year or two ago, but the fan wasnt attached to anything, there was an ordinary 120mm fan behind it, and the suction from that caused the big fan to spin. So the big fan is actually reducing the airflow through the case.
Is this case the same design?
