Just a small intro to my project blog to give an idea of what I want to try and do, am hoping for any suggestions to help me on the way.
Currently have a rather old PC, have had it for a few years, and the motherboard/CPU/memory were given to me bya mate from work who had it for a few more years. Will publish the spec in a later post, may even run a benchmark just for a laugh. Have added various parts over the years, mainly large HDDs for storing movies. But the whole thing is getting a bit tired so it needs a complete rebuild.
My two main reasons for a re-build is that I dont like the case I have now, would rather have a media centre-style PC, I even have the notion of using an old Hi-Fi case (liked the one plingboot did very much). I also got Company of Heroes for Christmas so also need to upgrade to be able to play this game, which means new everything basically (gives you an idea of how old and slow my current PC is!)
