Hey there everybody.
Its Tim aka timothyw9.
After Christmas I am hoping to use some Christmas money to make my own FileServer.
I am planning on basing it around a Dell Optiplex GX110 pictured below
I’m thinking about spray painting it black as beige isn’t a nice colour.I’m also planning to add a couple Cathode lights and fans etc.

Hey,
How were you planning on setting the server up. I have recently moved my computers around and have set up a file server of my own. This has involved 6 Samsung spinpoints (400GB) and 4 Maxtor (200GB) going into a lian li chassis…
Light install of fedora…some sambe and some mdadm and i should be set in a few days…
